SCENARIO 1

Going swimming

Guests wishing to use the swimming pool can access the leisure facilities via step-free routes from the main areas of the hotel. The pool area includes level access to changing facilities, and our team is available to assist if required. If you have specific needs relating to pool access, changing areas, or support while using the facilities, we recommend contacting the hotel in advance so we can discuss the most suitable arrangements for your visit.

SCENARIO 2

Attending an event in the Spinnaker Suite

The Spinnaker Suite is accessible via step-free routes and lift access where required. The space is designed to accommodate wheelchair users, with level flooring and flexible seating layouts depending on the event setup. Accessible toilet facilities are located nearby. If you are attending a wedding, conference, or other event and have particular access requirements — for example relating to seating, circulation space, or arrival and departure — our events team will be happy to provide further guidance ahead of time.

Going for a drink in the bar

The hotel bar is located on the ground floor and is accessible without steps. There is level access throughout the space, with a variety of seating options available. Our staff are happy to assist with seating, ordering, or any other support you may need during your visit. If you prefer a quieter area or have specific accessibility requirements, please speak to a member of the team who will do their best to accommodate you.

This accessibility overview is designed to give practical details about our hotel layout, bedrooms, bathrooms, public areas, and facilities. Where possible, we have included measurements and descriptions to help guests plan their stay with confidence.

Our Facilities

Langstone Quays Resort offers step-free access to many public areas, including reception, restaurants, bars, and function spaces. Passenger lifts are available to access guest accommodation and other floors, and accessible parking spaces are provided close to the main entrance.

We have a small number of adapted bedrooms designed to support guests with reduced mobility. These rooms include wider doorways and adapted bathroom facilities. Further details, including measurements, are provided elsewhere on this page.

Accessible toilet facilities are available in public areas of the hotel.

Sensory and Hidden Disabilities

We understand that accessibility is not limited to physical access. Our team is happy to assist guests with a range of sensory or hidden disabilities wherever possible.

If you have specific requirements — for example, relating to hearing, vision, neurodiversity, or cognitive access — we encourage you to contact us in advance so we can discuss how best to support you during your stay.

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the hotel in line with UK equality legislation.

Parking

The parking area consists of over 200 spaces, with allocated accessible spots near to the main entrance and the rear entrance/Leisure Club entrance.

There are three bays located in the front car park, which consist of space around for wheelchairs. These bays are located 30' (9m) to the main entrance doors.

The concourse to the double-width automatic doors is level access to the tarmac surface.

There are two bays located in the rear car park, which consist of space around for wheelchairs. These bays are located 10' (3m) to the leisure club entrance doors, and 18' (6m) to the hotel rear entrance.

Lifts

There is a platform lift from the main lobby to the lower ground floor.  We also have a lift to the first floor Spinnaker function suite.

Located in the Classic wing on the ground floor with direct access to the Front Desk

The main access door to this room is 34' (87cm) wide.

The bathroom door is 38' (97cm) wide.

The height of the toilet is 18" (46cm).

The height of the sink is 31" (79cm).

The depth of the bath is 12" (30cm) - this is a adapted shallow bath with support rails.

The height to access the bath 15" (38cm) - there is an assistance ledge at the rear of the bath.

The height of the bed is 2' (60cm) - there is ample space to manoeuvre a wheelchair on both sides of the bed.

The height of the table in the room is 27" (69cm).

Accessible Rooms 69/71/73

Located on the lower ground floor with access via the lobby platform lift or three steps and a slope.

The main access door to these rooms is 33' (84cm) wide.

The height of the bed is 26" (66cm) - there is ample space to manoeuvre a wheelchair on both sides of the bed.

The height of the table in the room is 18" (46cm).

The height of the desk in the room is 30" (76cm).

The bathroom door is 33' (84cm) wide.

The height of the toilet is 19.5" (50cm).

The height of the sink is 29" (74cm).

The height of the mobile shower chair is 19" (44cm).

The height of the shower controls is  31" (79cm).

Restaurant

Located overlooking the harbour with level access on the lower ground floor and level access to the waterfront terrace.

Breakfast is served buffet style, a member of staff will be able to help with carrying items or selecting items from the buffet for you.

The width of the restaurant entrance door is 63" (160 cm).

The height of the restaurant buffet tables is 43" (119 cm).

The height of the cold buffet area is 40" (102 cm).

The height of the hot buffet area is 35.5" (90 cm).

The height of a table in the restaurant is 29.5" (75 cm).

There is a vertical access ladder and a set of four wide shallow steps.
