Simply locate the 'LQGuest' network on your device and complete the sign-in form to obtain complimentary wifi access.

You'll find a portable fan located in your wardrobe.

Freeview is available.

A personal safe is located in your wardrobe.  Simply select a four-digit PIN of your choice to secure your items.

If you are staying in a double superior room or suite, you'll find a personal coffee machine with individual artisan-style drink pods.

Hotel services

Room service is available daily from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm. You can order directly with our restaurant team or by dialling '0' from your bedroom phone.  We also offer breakfast delivered to your room, which can be organised by completing the card and leaving it on your door handle before 2.00 am.

For housekeeping, if you are staying for more than one night, please request room service by placing the 'Please make up my room' card on your door or by informing the Front Desk. You can also request extra pillows, towels, etc., from our Front Desk team, who will be happy to assist you.

Please call the Front Desk on '0' to make arrangements for any laundry or dry cleaning you would like taken care of.

Table reservations for dinner are essential, and can be quickly and easily booked online.  No reservation is required for breakfast or for a table at Cafe Ash.

Our leisure facilities include a wide choice of state-of-the-art equipment which is available for all guests to use throughout your stay from 12.00 pm on the day of arrival to 4.00 pm on the day of departure.  If you are interested in becoming a member, you'll find we have a variety of packages to select from to suit your lifestyle.

 

There is a 20 metre indoor pool open all year round.

Transport

Train

The closest railway station is Gobowen [GOB], on the Shrewsbury–Chester line, approximately 2 miles away.  Trains are primarily operated by Transport for Wales, with regular services running north to Chester and Wrexham and south to Shrewsbury, Birmingham, and Cardiff.  There's also a once-daily weekday Avanti West Coast service between Wrexham and London Euston.  Once at Gobowen, it’s a short taxi ride or a 30-minute walk to the resort.

Bus

Local bus routes operated by Arriva Wales, Arriva Midlands, Tanat Valley Coaches, and other independents serve the area.  Route 2/2A links Oswestry, Gobowen, and Wrexham, running hourly Monday–Saturday.  The bus departs from Oswestry Bus Station, arriving near Lion Quays at Perry Road Junction or the “Palmant Mawr/Roundabout” stops within a 10–15-minute walk, taking around 30 minutes and costing £2–£3.  Routes T12/T12C and 53 also stop near the resort, around 800 m away via “Roundabout”.  For up-to-date timetables and route maps, check Traveline.

Taxis are readily available from Gobowen station and Oswestry town with Vroom Oswestry: 01978 357 777 or Oswalds Cars: 01691 596 596.

In the event of an emergency, dial 999 from any phone to reach the UK emergency services. This number connects you to police, ambulance, fire brigade, and the coastguard.

Calls are free and can be made from mobile phones, landlines, or public telephones.  If you are calling from the bedroom phone be sure to place a '9' ahead of the number.

If you are on or near the water and require urgent assistance, ask specifically for the coastguard.

If you have a hearing or speech impairment, you can use the text relay service by dialling 18000.

Should you be aware of an emergency please also alert the Duty Manager who will be able to assist you - you may do this by alerting any member of staff.

If you’ve misplaced something during your visit to Lion Quays Resort, we’re here to help. Our team manages all lost property with care and will do our best to reunite you with your belongings. Please complete the lost property form with as much detail as possible, and a member of our team will be in touch.

Should you experience any disappointment during your stay, please ask to speak to the Duty Manager.

We endeavor to resolve all issues whilst you are staying with us as we want you to truly enjoy your time at the resort.

Should you need to contact us regarding a disappointment following your stay or didn't feel that our response was satisfactory then please email reservations@lionquays.co.uk and your complaint shall be coordinated to the correct person for resolution.

Policies

Smoking is not permitted inside any of our rooms if found to be smoking in the rooms there will be a penalty fee to pay - initially £150 cleaning fine then £100 per day the room is unsellable.

Please note that we test our fire alarm weekly on Tuesday at 1.00 pm.  On hearing the fire alarm please make your way to the nearest fire exit with the meeting point located on the car park next to the log cabin.

If you wish to charge anything back to your bedroom account, please show the member of staff your key wallet; you will be requested to sign all charges as proof of purchase.  A £100 preauthorisation is required at reception to set-up an account; this shall require settlement upon departure.

The resort does not accept cash.  All major debit and credit cards are accepted including the use of digital wallets in pounds sterling.  All rooms to be settled upon check-in.
