Real weddings at our Shropshire resort

The wedding took place on 5th November with Lion Quays Resort able to cater for all of Imran and Faiza's desires.

Wider family and friends all enjoyed a wonderful day at Lion Quays Resort and the Lion Suite was transformed for the special occasion.

We had the best day! I genuinely can’t thank Lion Quays Resort enough, especially Sophie and Charlotte who helped us along the way, ensuring everything went to plan and ran smoothly.

They really did go above and beyond, from ensuring everything was as we wanted and even added little extras we didn’t expect!

Thank you for taking good care of us, and doing all you did to make our day the best day ever.

From start to finish our wedding at the Lion Quays Resort was perfect.

We had booked August 2020 but due to Covid we had to postpone twice.

The team were so understanding. We had regular contact with the team and we often met to plan my wedding day.

I stayed the night before with my friends and then moved into the gorgeous wedding suite the night of the wedding. The room was so modern with a rainforest shower and stunning views.

Our wedding was outside under the birdcage overlooking the canal. We kept our guests entertained with brilliant garden games.

The wedding breakfast was delicious and then we were taken for more photos. There are so many photo opportunities at the LQ.

We had the resident DJ for our evening reception and danced the night away before saying our farewells in the gardens with a sparkler send off. If we could do it all again, we would!

It didn't end there either, the day after the wedding we were spoilt in the spa with massages and complete relaxation.

The whole experience was just amazing! I really recommend the LQ for a once in a lifetime wedding. I cannot thank the team enough. 11/10!

My partner and I had our wedding at the Lion Quays on 28th May. From start to finish, the staff and hotel were faultless.

We were first introduced to Sophie who was exceptional at helping us organise the day. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and responsive to any questions/ideas we had.

From arriving at the hotel the day before the wedding, we felt at home and relaxed. We trusted that everything was being taken care of so we could really sit back and enjoy the experience.

ALL the staff at the resort were friendly and professional and really did go above and beyond for us.

We had quite a few guests with complicated dietary requirements - the Chef and waiting on team were incredible!

We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful food and nothing was too much trouble for the Chef with regards to the dietary requirements.

Charlotte was our co-ordinator for the day. She was absolutely brilliant. The day went without a hitch and again, nothing was too much trouble.

She was fantastic at getting everyone where they needed to be - we really did get to relax and take in the whole day. We've had so many compliments from our guests saying Charlotte was so friendly, helpful and approachable.

The resort itself is stunning. So many photo opportunities and the grounds/gardens are well kept. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable.

The spa is 5* - very clean and relaxing with a great choice of treatments. We didn't get to spend a lot of time there but will definitely be back to make use of it.

We had been to see a few wedding venues before deciding on Lion Quays. We choose to have it here as it was great value for money, Sophie seemed to take a personal interest in our wedding and appeared to enjoy doing her job (she is fab at it!), the size and space we were getting for our money was brilliant compared to others, and it also seemed a safe place for children (we had a lot of children attending!).

They also held a lot of wedding fayres which we attended more than once - so many suppliers to choose from who all have experience of working within weddings at Lion Quays, and this allowed us to get to know the staff and ask any questions we had before making a decision.

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone at the Lion Quays for making our day so special to us, it really is appreciated. Highly recommended 5 Star!

We used Lion Quays as our reception venue. Sophie was an outstanding member of the team - our wedding coordinator - nothing was ever too much trouble for her.

Her email reply time is phenomenal; which is so important when you're trying to coordinate different things to work together.

The venue itself is beautiful, very well looked after and suitable if you have little ones at your wedding.

Food quality and portion sizes are outstanding!

Staff are all so lovely and everything went so well on the day.

Could not recommend this more highly. Would give more than 5* if we could!

Had our wedding at Lion Quays and from start to finish it was magical.

From day one Sophie took over all the planning for us and we did not have to worry about a thing.

We stayed in the Cariad suite for two nights and so much attention to detail and all the extra touches just made it so special.

Sophie and her team, Charlotte and Jenny were just so caring but efficient. All three lovely girls and excellent in the service they provided.

The venue was wonderful for our wedding day and the barbecue buffet was first class. I wouldn't change a thing.
